Welcome and plans for the new year
Dear chess friends, let me welcome you to the newly opened website of Chess House Praha. Here we will try to inform about upcoming events, post results, photos from tournaments and much more.
In this introductory article I would like to inform you about the events we are planning for you in the newly started year 2025.
Series 1. IT Gymnasium
This year, of course, the already played series of IT Gymnasium in Satalice continues. Next Saturday we will have the third tournament in 10+3 format for 7 rounds. Currently, Fide Master Rudolf Jun is in the lead, followed by Zdeněk Davídek and CM Martin Le in a split second place. After the end of this series, we will definitely follow it up with more tournaments in cooperation with 1st IT Gymnasium, which we will let you know about in time.

Chess festival in Jihlava
It is my great pleasure to announce that in cooperation with EA Hotels we are going to organize a chess festival in Jihlava at the beginning of July, 7.7. - 13.7. We are planning an open tournament in standard chess, a closed Junior Super Tournament, a social event, a simul, accompanying tournaments and much more.
A Fischer random chess tournament should also be held as part of this tournament. At the moment we are preparing the regulations and arranging sponsors. We will keep you informed about further developments.
Populus open
We must not forget the third edition of the popular Populus Open tournament, organized in cooperation with EA Hotels at the Hotel Populus in Prague's Žižkov district. We are still considering the date during November.

Junior Super Tournament
After the successful first year of the closed Junior Super Tournament, which took place at the end of December in Říčany, the second year of the festival in Jihlava is coming up. The event will be commentated live by IM Lukas Vlasak.
